William Levy

Who am I?

What have I done?

I am a curious, contemplative, award winning copywriter, content creator, and compassionate leader.

How I ended up here is complex and circuitous. The short of it is I've always been a storyteller.

I wanted to be a filmmaker, so I studied filmmaking. I made my own films and helped others make theirs. I worked at a film studio in New York City. To make films, we needed scripts, so I wrote. Along the way, I discovered I love to write and tell stories.

I see marketing and advertising as storytelling using various media and methods, from print ads to web apps, from SEO to WTF guerrilla tactics. Sometimes we use just one of those avenues to influence or communicate, other times we use multiple channels, all working together strategically to tell different parts of the same story.

A few of the things I love are off-the-beaten-path travel, studying people & learning their stories and, from gardening to cooking, enjoying food in all its forms.

Additional CV

and Fun Facts

  • I will try anything twice.

  • I love concepting and facilitating great teamwork.

I won second place on America’s Funniest Home Videos.

Most of my young, formative years were spent as the youngest brother of two sisters and the child of a single mother making minimum wage. I mention this only because I know how those years can shape a person and I recognize how this shaped me into the appreciative, caring, and resilient person I am today.

I value hard work and seizing opportunities. For the past 30+ years, I have had the opportunity to experience a huge range of job types, from under-the-table work at a t-shirt printing shop, to landscaping companies and other physically demanding labor, all the way to the creative field I’m lucky to be in now.

First in my family to attend and graduate from college.

I used to think the Oxford comma was superfluous, but I now realize how important it is when writing copy that will be seen by my parents, internet trolls and lawyers. (<-That’s a copywriter joke. And not a good one. I’ll work on it.)

If you find a typo on this website, I will Venmo you $50.
